New Series: God's Love

This Summer at OCC we are starting a new Sunday series titled, God’s Love.

In Ephesians 3:17-19, Paul prays "that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

Love your neighbour - providing help in the current pandemic

All of us are keen to follow the teaching of Jesus to love our neighbour. But how do we do that in the current pandemic, in a way that is loving and caring, and doesn't harm our neighbour, ourselves, or the wider community?

Sheep can't read

Sheep can't read. I realise that this will only be a revelation to those who spent more hours watching Babe than revising for GCSE Biology, but while it is far from a deep theological truth, it affects our reading of Scripture greatly. You see, God describes himself as the Good Shepherd, and the Bible is overflowing with teaching and narrative concerning sheep. We are often the sheep, and sometimes the under-shepherds.
