Church membership

The Bible describes the Christian community as a household (Ephesians 2:19), a body (1 Corinthians 12:12-31), and a temple made up of “living stones” (1 Peter 2:45, Ephesians 2:21). All of these speak of our unity and need for each other.

Paul asked the Philippian church to be one in heart and mind and purpose (Philippians 2:2). The process of exploring what we call church membership allows you to learn about the way that church members relate to one another (heart), what we believe (mind) and what we are focused on (purpose).

If you've been around OCC for more than few months, we recommend you get along to the next Discover course or Exploring Membership evening, to understand more about what we stand for - our vision and values. (During 2022 Exploring Membership is being replaced by a new Discover course.)

We love to see people getting involved! For roles involving leading, teaching or prayer ministry you will understand that we like to get to know you first, ensuring that we share key vision and values, and have a good mentoring relationship in place. Most simply, this means completing this church membership process.

For details of the next event, please check our calendar, or ask the church office.
