People worshipping

Alongside our communities, Sunday meetings are a vital part of the life of OCC. They provide a weekly opportunity at The King's Centre for worship and preaching that fuels our daily lives in our homes, neighbourhoods and workplaces, and are a great opportunity for guests to find out more about the church.

A typical Sunday looks like this:

From 10:00 we meet for pre-service prayer. Coffee is served from 10:15 and the welcome team are available to help guests feel at home!

The service starts shortly after 10:30 with a welcome and stories from the week. The band lead us in songs of worship - this is relaxed and family-friendly, during which some of the kids dance and wave flags!

Around 11:15 children (0-11) and youth (11-16) go to their own groups, run by volunteers. The stewards will help visitors find the right groups. We take child protection very seriously and all our key volunteers have DBS checks.

There is an opportunity to give financially, after which the week's preacher explores a passage or theme from the Bible, asking how it applies to us today, to our daily lives.

We make opportunity for response and prayer, and are commissioned as God's people to go back to our homes, communities and workplaces. We aim to be done by 12:15, in order that people have the option of sharing lunch together.
