We hope that you enjoy listening to these talks. As a church, we value the word of God highly and give it an important place in our Sunday worship. We want to be changed by it, and pray that our hearts would be receptive to whatever God says. Our preachers work hard to explain what the text meant in its original setting and its practical significance for us today, bringing messages that are always relevant and frequently life-changing.

Through the rest of 2012, we are going to read the story of the early church, which is recorded in ‘The Acts of the Apostles’. We’ll see how, after the passing on (or rather, the going up!) of its charismatic founder, the ‘Jesus movement’ avoided the common tendencies of new religious movements. They did not find another new vision, nor did they lapse back into their old ways.
In this series we explore key areas of the theology that underpins our faith. As we develop our missional focus as a church, we'll want to be sure that we know what we know and are able to explain things as the need arises.
From Jesus to Prayer, from Mission to the End Times we will be exploring topics together that will help us be properly rooted in what the Bible teaches.

We are a very active church, living in a crowded city in a busy society. It’s easy for Christians to get caught up with what we’re doing and to forget that we can only be fruitful if we remain connected to Christ. This autumn, we will be looking at some of the things that we are called to do, but asking the question: how do we see God at work with us in this thing?
“The Lord is my Shepherd… He restores my soul” (Psalm 23)
This summer, we are looking the Psalms, the song book of Israel and a source of comfort and peace for God’s people throughout the centuries. Expect to be blessed!
Our first Central Region Celebration brings us together as a family of churches in the centre of Oxfordshire.
For the summer term, we have planned three mini-series, each about getting the best out of life with God. His word brings us life. He provides money to support our lives.
A missional community is a group of people who care for and support one another, worship Jesus together, pray and read the Bible together – and who also work together with a specific vision of sharing the love of Jesus in specific ways (e.g. Alpha courses, to homeless people, to a particular local community). They share the love of Jesus with each other and with other people.
The book of Colossians was written to a Christian community just like our own in so many ways.
Christmas is all about Jesus. He’s the reason for the season! So, as we approach this year’s festivities, we are going to focus on the One who is at the heart of it all.
The book of Joshua is a great read. It’s a book of action that is rooted in fierce loyalty to God. It raises some hard questions, like how we interpret what looks like a divinely-ordained genocide.
