Deeper

From Sunday 5th February we’ll be running ‘Deeper’, which will benefit you if you’re a Christian and:

• you’re new to Oxford Community Church and would like to know all about us, or
• you’ve been wanting to really connect and become involved with the Church to a deeper level, or
• you want to explore our heart as a community, and are considering committing to this Church as your spiritual family.

We intend for each morning to be highly interactive and flexible as well as informative and useful. There’ll be a clear invitation to join us each Sunday as we gather in our own room, while the sermon is preached in the main hall.

Sunday 5th Feb 2012 - Session 1
Friendship matters to us. This morning will be a hospitable and relaxed introduction with good coffee and cake, including:

• who we are as a church, and to which larger families we belong and relate,
• what we believe together, with opportunities to ask questions,
• and how these things are reflected in our behaviour and practices

Sunday 12th Feb 2012 - Session 2
Our proactive life together; looking at Missional Communities as our mid-week focus, and an important place where we receive discipleship:

• an opportunity to learn what Missional Communities are all about
• hear the specific vision of each MC from those engaged in making it happen
• ask questions and understand how to investigate and get involved

Sunday 26th Feb 2012 - Session 3
Going Deeper: an overview of what membership means to us:

• our history, where God has brought us so far
• Personal Pastoring, how it works, and testimonies
• membership, it’s about lifelong growth in maturity

Membership of Oxford Community Church
If you are interested in becoming a committed member of Oxford Community Church, the 3rd session (see above) provides an essential introduction to the church. Two additional meetings are then offered (Sunday evenings, dates and venue to be confirmed), which will be hosted by Steve Jones and other Elders of the church, in order to lead you into formal membership.

Whether or not you want to become a committed member, or are just interested in finding out more about what we believe and do, you are most welcome to join us for our Sunday morning sessions. We are eager to see you and hope you can join us!
